On-Line 5.2 Engine build.

H-Beam Rods

The WiIdcat H-Beam Rods, Have been tested in engines exceeding 600BHP and are considered the very best for any Rover V8 application.
Race Forged Pistons

The Heart of the Power, The longest stroking Rover V8 Crank Yet, heavy metal balanced to offer superb yet smoothest of power delivery.

Heavy metal balanced Crank

Comparing the Std Rover, and our Forged 5.2 Race Pistons,

We consider the Max safe power that should be subjected to any Std Rover Piston would be 300bhp, however with weak engine mixtures or poor quality fuel so often an issue then the safe limit of any std type Piston could fall well below that figure , this is why we build to a maximum of 280bhp with stock Rover 4.6 pistons.

Comarping Pistons

block preperation  This is a picture of the 5.2 Crossbolted block being prepared for assembly,

All cylinders are now relined with the 5.2 top-hat liners, all bores have been "cc" corrected, the engine block is the latest stiff type (C), And is crossbolted. Additional Oil holes are drilled for front end lubrication (A&B.) and as with all our engines, its clean enough to eat :-))

You can easily see the difference between High quality Rods and that of the standard items, even if you look closely it is almost impossible to see the joint between the Big ends cap and rod, and this is without the bolt being tightened. These Rods have proved themselves up to 600bhp so in all our engines leave a huge margin of reliability.

This has to be a major factor for consideration. After all its no good having the power if you cant use it, or if your engine is going to end up as a pile of twisted "Scrap"
Machining for excellence

The 5.2 crossbolted Block with the New Balanced Crank now fitted and the First of the Pistons already fitted.
